마오콩 케이블카 (Maokong Gondola, 貓空纜車 )

Operating between the Taipei Zoo and Maokong, a mountain-top tea destination, the Maokong Gondola is a cable-car lift system which is part of the Taipei MRT.

A total of 4 stations are accessible along the 4KM line, running up the mountain from the base to a back entrance of the zoo, past Zhinan Temple to the top at Maokong Station.

Each standard cabin can hold a maximum of 8 passengers, with special all-glass 'crystal cabins' having a capacity of 5 passengers.

Besides cable-car services, other transportation methods including minibus and taxi are available to visitors looking to access the scenic area.

Services may temporarily not be available due to adverse weather conditions including high wind, thunderstorms, or typhoons, or due to detected seismic activity. Cabins are equipped with a fire extinguisher and emergency telecom system. The gondola has a backup power system to ensure safe evacuation of passengers during an emergency situation, with procedures in place by the fire department for manual evacuation via towers.

Stations, cars, and services along the line are handicap-accessible, with elevators available for usage. The gondola's visitor and service center is located on the second floor of the base station.
