Alishan Forest Railway - Shenmu Branch Line (阿里山森林鐵道 - 神木支線 )

Operated by the Forestry Bureau, the Shenmu Branch of the Alishan Forest Railway is a tourism-focused line providing transportation between the main station at Alishan and Shenmu Sacred Tree.

This line is temporary and is operating between two stations, running in the backward direction from Alishan one station toward Shenmu. The stations beyond Shenmu are currently not accessible due to repairs on the main line.

Shenmu Station is located within walking distance of Alishan Station inside the national park area. Visitors may choose to walk down hill toward Shenmu Sacred Tree, then ride the train back up.
