A larger station in the northeast part of the Taipei Metro Area, Ruifang Train Station serves the town of Ruifang in New Taipei City along the northeast coast of Taiwan.

All train classes serve Ruifang Station as it is a major station along the Yilan Line. Tze-Chiang (自強號) class trains are fastest while local trains will stop at every station on the line. Puyuma and Taroko class trains are not available for boarding without reserved tickets, and most visitors will ride Tze-Chiang, Fu-hsin, Chu-kuang, or local trains by swiping an Easycard and finding an empty seat on the train.

Those traveling to Taipei may choose to board any train heading west with a destination south of Taipei, most commonly Shulin Station (樹林). Most trains will stop at Nangang, Songshan, Taipei Main Station, and Banqiao. Those traveling to Keelung must take a train to Qidu Station (七堵) then transfer to a Keelung-bound train north.

Outside of the train station is the Ruifang market area, where street foods and shops can be found. The most popular snack in the area is Longfeng Leg (龍鳳腿).

Historically, Ruifang Station served as an important median point for travelers between Taipei and Yilan, fueling its development during the mining period of neighboring Jiufen and Jinguashi.
