Qidu Station (七堵站 )

The largest station nearest the split of the Western Trunk Line and the Yilan Line, Qidu Station is the best station to transfer between Keelung-bound and Ruifang-, Yilan-, Hualien-, and Taitung-bound trains.

Express trains will generally continue from Taipei along to the Yilan Line and the east coast after branching at the next local-service station Badu, while mostly local trains will continue along the Western Trunk Line to the terminus station in Keelung servicing commuters.

Visitors heading to Keelung after a day trip in Pingxi or Jiufen should transfer to a local train to Keelung at this station, although a direct bus from those destinations to Keelung may be easier.
