Taipei City Hall Station (市政府站 )

One of the busier stations along the Blue Line of the Taipei MRT, Taipei City Hall Station is located at the north edge of the Xinyi Shopping District which stretches down to Taipei 101.

The attached long-distance bus station has provides bus services to many parts of Taiwan from the eastern part of Taipei, serving as a sort of competitor to the bus terminal at Taipei Main Station. Buses going east toward Yilan and Hualien are notably quicker since they do not have to first transit through traffic in the city as there is a tunnel entrance nearby. Passengers going to and from areas in the western part of the city such as Ximen should consider using the bus terminal at Taipei Main Station.
